Sonic Performances | Feedback | Sonic Effects

Sonic Ensemble is a collection of instruments that recreate various sonic effects in order to push how we use the sounds from our everyday environment as part of contemporary composition.

Positioned at the boundary between sound and music, with sounds that have been described as "otherworldly", the Ensemble challenges what we consider music, and what we may perceive as noise.

Sound artist Jen Haugan has given sonic performances using feedback with the Doppler Machine at various venues, including the Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal College of Art, as well as working in collaboration with composer Lara Poe and clarinetist Peter Dec from the Royal College of Music.

Always open to new collaborations and performances!
